Our mother passed away just before Christmas. It has been hard for all of us and we look forward to being reunited again.

Things have been a bit rough lately. Mostly having up and down days. I had recently decided to discontinue treatment for chemo. It wasn't improving quality of life for me and they were making me really sick and weak. Since then, doctor appointments have been mainly for keeping my pain medication up on the task at hand.

Thanksgiving was pretty eventful with our First Annual Woodbury Turkey Trot. To everyone's surprise, I WON! It was nice having dinner with all my kids, grandkids, Mom and Dad and Alice, Perry and two of their unmarried kids. We had the usual puzzle on the table and visiting after dinner. Dinner was at Grandma Hunter's house. We played a new game called Wizard. It has become a family favorite for us.

I went in for another doctor appointment yesterday. All seemed to go well, we made our two week appointment at the front desk and went on our way. Within 15 minutes, the office called and said we needed to get back to the doctor immediately. Apparently the blood thinner I was taking was working too well. They gave me a vitamin K shot and sent me over to the hospital so I could have a plasma transfusion. It was around 500 cc's of fresh frozen plasma.

I feel my tolerance level getting very low. Under Don's insistence I am under home hospice care. That's all I can think of so, Tah, Tah for now.

Sunday September 13th

I completed radiation treatments and started phyical therapy which I hate that you KYLE! I shave some lovely posts I kyles blog which you must read. I am takin Chemo pills this time around 10 daily with water on a full stomace.

Last Radiation Today!

So today I complete my last Radiation treatment. I start Chemo on the 8th of September. I have changed my meds so I am now sleeping better at nights. I am going to our family reunion this weekend, Like is good. I have an evaluation for physical therapy today at 230.

*I accidently posted this on Heather's blog so she is posting this for me...sorry this is probably all out of order*

Wow! So much has happened this past 11 days. My life has been turned inside out and upside down. I cant wait to find which heavenly angel pocked me in the tummy to get me into the ER? Hee hee.

My joy is full. Kyle and Michelle delivered a healthy happy 7.2 ounce baby girl on the 18th in Orem Utah. Ive been told by my 6 year old grandson the difference between happy and sad. Happy is having a baby sister from heaven sad is grandma going back there. But life is just that. A progression. I love my grandkids. I wont be at church on Sunday cuz my good husband is taking me to Utah to see the new little one. Cant wait!

Yesterday by good friend Janet Butterfield and her 2 (Daughters) took me to their cabin up Robie Creek. I took Jasons boys Walker and Parker both. 2 4 year olds 2 1 year olds. same age. Had fun laying around the pond paddling in the boats and just relaxing. No phones. Visiting like old times. Fun place to get away for the day! Thanks Janet Collette and Sarah for watching the kids and letting me lounge around. Do you have pics you can post to my blog? Sure hope soo!

Today I am back at DRS. again for yet another MRI. More testing so we can get this right. I have had 5 radiation treatments to reduce swelling in my head and have 10 more to go. I will start Chemotheraphy again the 2nd week on September. I am having another Port inserted into my chest for IV access next Tuesday the 25th? not sure of the date but Tuesday. I may need some home help for a day or 2 after that. The day after I get home from Utah.

Heather and Scott are manning Pier 49 Pizza for me along with the great staff I have. Scott is returning to BYU Idaho in 2 weeks. He has a job there and has to go early for work. It is a tough decision but where he really needs to be. He is close enough to come home if neccessary. Heather and David are fasting and praying about what they need to do so keep them in your prayers as well. She has a 12 week intership to complete for her Bachelors in Paramedics. But it doesnt look like she is gonna go for a while now. It was starting in 3 weeks.

So for my last paragraph SECRET SISTERS__ you guys rock! I love getting stuff everyday. Makes me smile. Thanks for radiating sunshine into my dreary world! My dog really has never ever bit anyone. Who wants to be first? The secret is she like women and children so do not be afraid to stop for 5 minutes when you come. I love company!

Trip To Utah

Saturday afternoon/ Evening we set out for Orem Utah to meet none other than
Ruby Elizabeth Woodbury! (My middle name of course!)

I went to the nail Salon and used one of the super gift cards given me at my Grannies gine wikd party! I need to use them while I still can. While enroute we almost turned around and came back home. I huge storm passed thru knocking out power at home and work. I f fried part of out computers at work. Scott and Jason were able to take parts from our old store and fix it. Praise the Lord for help on that one. And thanks boys. Guess I owe ya pizza!!!

We visited with Kyle and his family. That baby is so cute and perfect I was almost afraid to hold here. Scared she get my cancer/ fall out of my arms ect. Definetly beautiful

The kids were so cute playing together and lovin up on gma. Makes me sad I might miss something.

SHOWER BABY! ALL FOR ME?

So last night some of my friends had a shower for me! I guess during the wedding preps last year I had mentioned I want one! Who would'nt...seriously. I felt like a new bride again.

So next week between 5 Radiation treatments, a day in Utah, a port installation in my chest (this procedure is scheduled for Tuesday), lunch with my bosom buddies and I am getting my nails done, facial massage, pedicure, and full body massage and spa treatment. I am so excited. Plus I now have a video handheld recorder to take 450 minutes of journal entrys to start my life history. I am certainly going to get this started. And that is the key. GET it started! I have a lovely Sheepskin/lambs wool blanket that reverses and is so soft I cant wait for winter! I use it last night:) I recieved gorgeous flowers and ya all know how I love fresh flowers! And many more things, body lotion, Beautiful red/purple hat/ candles, and inscense for my house and much more! I am so pampered. Thanks to everyone for coming and making me feel so cheery in this dificult time of life. Its so hard to be down when so may of you are making sure I dont so a big THANKYOU!

Side note(this is really hard for me to accept all this graditude and attention so just know it is with humility and love). Kinda of hard to be the reciever so I am doing the best I can at accepting all this stuff even tho I really love it. I am sure this isnt coming across right and I am at a lose of words so I will shut up and just say THANKS:)
